Aquatic Confluence: Science, People, Knowledge
ASLO-SIL 2026 Meeting Submittal Site · 12-16 May 2026 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada
This congress will stimulate exchange of methodological approaches and learning across scales by bringing together scientists from freshwater and marine realms. The many ways these environments intersect will be a focal point, be it through organismal interactions or processes of stratification that underpin biogeochemical states. Furthermore, we wish to evoke connections among scientists as well as with stakeholders and indigenous knowledge keepers in the spirit of codesign to address society’s greatest issues around aquatic habitats and water resources.
Abstract SubmissionWe invite you to propose special sessions related to the meeting theme or on other emerging topics in aquatic sciences. There will also be contributed sessions that will cover major themes in limnology and oceanography, such as biogeochemistry, microbial ecology, biodiversity, as well as other topics. Abstracts are due for the ASLO-SIL 2026 Meeting are due by 23:59 U.S. Pacific Time on 25 November 2025. Be sure to read the Abstract Submission Guide before proceeding.

These events should be planned during lunch or possibly in the evening. Meeting room space will be complimentary if there are rooms available. All other costs will not be covered. Even if space is not available at the Montréal Convention Centre, you may still organize your own meeting or activity at an alternative location. Auxiliary event applications will be reviewed by the meeting chairs and members of the scientific committee. Organizers will be contacted in early 2026 with acceptance and details about their event. All session organizers who attend the meeting must register and be able to fund their own registration, travel, and accommodation. At least one organizer from each session must attend and oversee your session during the meeting. If you have questions about the application or an event that you are planning, please contact Mik Bauer at mbauer@aslo.org. |
