Ramón Margalef Award for Excellence in Education Award Talk

Yentsch-Schindler Award Talks

The Yentsch-Schindler Early Career Award honors an early-career scientist for outstanding and balanced contributions to research, science training, and broader societal issues such as resource management, conservation, policy, and public education.

Dr. Mar Benavides is a 2025 Yentsch-Schindler Award recipient in recognition of her internationally-inclusive and interdisciplinary investigation of marine nitrogen fixation over a range of spatiotemporal scales, her leadership within scientific societies and program-scale initiatives, and finally the dissemination of her work via accessible public media, ensuring regional community applicability.
